"Landscape and Opportunity for the Decarbonization of China's Textile and Apparel Manufacturing Sector" with the Apparel Impact Institute
One year after the launch of the collaborative report between DFI and the Apparel Impact Institute (Aii) on India's textile and apparel industry, we launched our report on China in December 2025.
This work builds on a combination of desk research, in-country stakeholder engagement, and discussions with financial institutions, manufacturers, and solution providers across key regions. The aim was to move beyond high-level insights and better understand what it takes to translate existing capital, technologies, and policy ambition into implementation on the ground.
China presents a unique combination of scale, financial depth, and renewable energy leadership alongside a rapidly evolving industrial landscape. This report reflects both the progress made and the practical opportunities to accelerate deployment at scale.
